We started at home
Dot Bakery & Cafe began as a modest Instagram account, from our home kitchen in Al-Ahsa in 2012. It had hardly any followers in its first year, and yet we held on to it, because we knew what we wanted to do.

Three branches, an app, and an account for cakes. And the same passion.
From one kitchen to two, then to the first branch
Followers grew little by little, and held steady over the following years, until we reached a point beyond what one woman, still at university, and one home kitchen could manage. Building a second kitchen at home, a small bakery in effect, became necessary. With the new kitchen and a bigger team, orders jumped.
The ambition kept growing until 2017, when we decided to leave the house and open our first shop in Hofuf. That is where Dot Bakery & Cafe was officially born.
What we learned from zero
When we started from zero in our home kitchen, we learned the ins and outs of our craft by doing it. We learned what good service does, and saw its effect straight away. We learned what our customers love, and built the menu on their taste.
And because we worked alone for the first five years, we read every comment from our customers and listened to it. Every positive comment was fuel for our ambition, and every negative one a lesson, in the product, the delivery or the service.
Today, now that we have grown, we still read every comment. The habit came from home, and it stayed with us at DOT.
Today
Three branches in Hofuf, Mubarraz and Khobar, open 6 am to midnight, Thursday and Friday until 2 am. One bakery bakes every day before dawn and delivers to the branches before they open; in every branch, cookies come out of the oven every hour, breakfast is made in front of you, the coffee is specialty, and occasion cakes are made to order through Dot Cake Art. And we still bake every day with the same passion we started with.
Born in Al-Ahsa, expanding from it, without changing
We bake for real. We serve with care. And we grow from our roots, not away from them.
